Questions about Access support and modernization.
Straightforward answers to the questions organizations ask before changing a critical database or business process.
Do we have to replace our Microsoft Access database?
No. Many systems can be stabilized, repaired, or enhanced. We recommend replacement only when the business, technical, security, or scalability requirements justify it.
Can you work on a database built by someone else?
Yes. Much of our work involves inherited or undocumented Access applications. We begin by understanding the data, objects, code, dependencies, and business workflow.
Will we lose our historical data?
Data preservation and validation are central to modernization. We plan the migration, test it, reconcile results, and keep appropriate backups before cutover.
Is Power Apps always the best replacement for Access?
No. Power Apps is a strong option when browser or mobile access, Microsoft 365 integration, workflow automation, and multi-user collaboration are priorities. Sometimes Access 365, SQL Server, or a hybrid approach is better.
Can modernization happen in phases?
Yes. A phased approach often reduces risk. We may stabilize the current system first, move the data layer next, and then replace individual workflows over time.
Do you provide emergency Access support?
Availability varies, but urgent troubleshooting is one of our core services. Contact us with the error, business impact, number of users, and any recent changes.
Can you integrate QuickBooks or other systems?
Yes. We build Power Automate and API-based integrations when the target system and licensing support them. We confirm technical and security requirements during discovery.
Where do you work?
Access Evolved is based in Buckeye, Arizona and works remotely with organizations across the United States.
What could your system become?
Tell us what is working, what is not, and where the business needs to go.
